SAFER is focused on serving the community throughout the course of the disaster cycle through:
● Advocacy for and promotion of coordinated countywide disaster preparedness planning
● Integration of human services agencies; faith-based organizations; businesses; state, federal, local government; and more into the County’s disaster preparedness system
● Establishing common goals, communication procedures, and coordination
● Supporting the design and adoption of standardized disaster plans
